There are many different kinds of resources and links following, and you can select just the ones you like best and you think they are most likely to help you practice a skill area.


First Things First!

Before you embark on your learning trip, make sure you get a free library card.  Even if our buildings are closed, you can still get an online library card.  You will have access to:

  • More materials:   books, music, films, magazines, audiobooks, e-books, e-magazines;
  • More databases: Overdrive, Hoopla, Kanopy, LinkedIn Learning etc.
  • More online events.  See our website and social media postings.

Since you live in Massachusetts, you can also have a Boston Public Library online card. You can apply for an eCard to access even more online resources at: 


ESL Classes at Dedham Public Library

We are committed  to providing our patrons with access to books, materials, online resources, and other library services.  The same goal applies to our English as a Second Language program.  Right now, our ESL teacher and our ESL volunteers provide English tutoring over the phone and via What's Up and Face Time.  Google Classromm and Zoom USA are being assessed for use in the near future.  Please stay tuned and check our website often.  For further information or to schedule a virtual meeting with an English tutor, please email:
